New Delhi: In a powerful statement emphasizing the moral and national imperative to counter terrorism, the Grand Mufti of India, Sheikh Abubakr Ahmad, called upon all citizens to stand united in safeguarding the country’s security, unity, and integrity.
The Grand Mufti commended India’s strong and determined stance against terrorism, describing it as a reflection of the country's strength and sovereignty and of its deep-rooted commitment to protecting humanity. “India’s actions against terrorism are essential in putting an end to the unrest caused by extremist forces in South Asia, including Kashmir,” he said.
Highlighting the broader implications of India’s counter-terror efforts, he noted that the country’s diplomatic and strategic interventions could play a pivotal role in strengthening global peace. “India can lead more comprehensive and effective initiatives in this fight through principled diplomacy and firm actions,” he added.
Urging the public to support these efforts, the Grand Mufti stated, “It is the moral responsibility of all who believe in peace and human dignity to stand with the nation in this struggle. Let us remain united in defending the values that define us.”
