Sheikh Abubakr Ahmad is the 10th Grand Mufti of India and the first Shafi Scholar from South India. He is the General Secretary of the All India Muslim Scholars Association, and Founder and Vice-Chancellor of Jamia Markaz Saqafathu Sunniyya, one of India's tremendous educational and humanitarian institutions. Sheikh is recognized as one of the 500 influential Muslims worldwide by the 500 Influential Muslim Magazine published in Jordan. He is also the general secretary of the All India Islamic scholars association; the board is working in all states of India, and the curriculum is available in over six languages. In India and the Arab world, Sheikh Abubakar is often referred to by his epithet Abul Aytam (Father of Orphans) for serving orphans and the destitute. To his credit, thousands of orphans graduated, many serving across the globe in distinct sectors in the highest positions. Under the visionary leadership of Sheikh Abubakr, the educational and humanitarian services of Jamia Markaz empowers and enlighten the minority community of India and Andaman Nicobar Islands and have surpassed Africa and the Arabian subcontinents.
    Markaz has more than 200 institutions serving in different streams in India and abroad. Sheikh Abubakr has been leading and is the chairman of the corporation of 300 plus CBSE schools and hundreds of educational and social organizations in and outside India. Sheikh Abubakr has authored and published over 60 books on various Arabic, Urdu & Malayalam topics. He has constructed 5000+ Cultural Centers and is leading 20,000 Primary Education Centers and hundreds of Colleges across the country and controls their operations in adherence to Markaz's vision and values. He has signed the Common Word International Peace Agreement with the leading nations. For the last four decades, Sheikh Abubakr has successfully run the International Peace Conference in India, a high-profile convention for peace and co-existence among nations with foreign delegates and Indian diplomats connected with the conference of Markaz. Sheikh Abubakr Ahmad has represented Indian Muslims at many international conferences worldwide and presented papers on diverse topics. He has delivered over 11000+ lectures virtually on various aspects of the Qur'an, Hadiths and Islamic Jurisprudence. His bold stands and recurrent campaigns, conventions and public processions against terrorism, extremism and militant fanaticism have won him much international recognition.
    In his academic supervision, 20,000 religious scholars have graduated, and they are leading national and international educational and religious movements. He is famous across India as a scholar and peace promoter, and his outstanding leadership skill maintains a good relationship with governments. The community achieves the rights constitutionally they deserve through him. He has many national and international recognition and awards for his excellent humanitarian and charitable service, including Indo Arab Personality Award in 2008. He is the most profound Muslim scholar globally known from India, with millions of followers across India and abroad.
